Experience / background
Kimberley draws on 12 years of self practice, and a passion for movement.
With a love for getting bodies to feel correct alignment, stemming from the discipline of classical ballet, she enjoys showing people the freedom and comfort they can achieve within their bodies.
No matter what age or experience, yoga will rebalance, benefit and most importantly, feel good. Gotta have fun whilst working up a sweat!
After casually attending classes in her teens, Kimberley dove back in to a strong practice in London, inspired by Kahti Goupil, a teacher shared by the likes of Madonna.
A penny dropped, and the benefits of committed daily practice started to reveal themselves. “Yoga kept me sane during the recession and warm in London winters.”
After taking the leap and choosing to build a career in fitness, Kimberley spent a year at Bodymindlife Studios, learning the ins & outs of running a Yoga and Pilates studio, where she was inspired by the transformation of students as they came into themselves, and became happier, more confident, self aware and compassionate.
Under the guidance of world renown Yoga Instructors Simon Park and Noelle Connolly, Kimberley completed her 200Hr Foundation Yoga Teacher Training, and Intermediate 50hrs, in ‘The Art of Alignment and Assists”, so expect to be guided into improved alignment through some juicy assists, and hopefully experiencing an ‘A-ha!!’ moment within your asana.
Also completing a Ba. Applied Science, and studies in Nutrition, Kimberley aims to always have the mind of a student – enriching her knowledge of health and wellbeing at every opportunity. After all, ‘When you stop growing, you start dying” (- William S. Burroughs.)
Her classes cater for the Beginner through to Advanced, with a slow flow including options for modifications and strength-building for inversions and arm balances.
First and Foremost, Yoga is for everybody!, so please feel welcome no matter your level.
